All of our Therapists are highly trained & believe in a multidisciplinary, team focused approach.

Osteopathy

image13

Osteopathy is based on four guiding principles:

  1. Your body is a functional unit.
  2. Structure and function are reciprocally interrelated.
  3. The movement of body fluids is essential for health.
  4. You have natural self-regulating and healing mechanisms.

We take a whole person approach and consider physical injury, posture, emotional stresses and more.  There are no protocols or standardized treatments. We treat each person as a unique individual.

Who can benefit?

Osteopathic Manual Therapy

Traditional Osteopathy, as presented by the Canadian College of Osteopathy, is defined as:

“A natural medicine which aims to restore function in the body by treating the causes of pain and imbalance. To achieve this goal the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner relies on the quality and finesse of his/her palpation and works with the position, mobility and quality of the tissues.”

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy can be an important part of your health maintenance plan by:

  • Reducing or eliminating pain.
  • Improving joint mobility.
  • Improving circulation.
  • Improving lymphatic drainage.
  • Reducing muscular tension.

Massage therapy can be used for the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs can work with a wide variety of patients, of all ages, in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability.

Athletic Therapy

Athletic therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care. They treat a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective doesn’t: an Athletic Therapist's goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back.
